This Etruscan Revival medallion brooch features intricate repoussé metalwork and rich carnelian-red glass. The circular design includes ornate Byzantine scrolling and cannetille accents, detailed in high relief with fine milgrain edging. A deep red carnelian glass cabochon, set in a sawtooth bezel, serves as the centerpiece, adding warmth and old-world luxury.
From the late 1920s–1930s, this brooch combines late Victorian revival style with early Art Deco craftsmanship. It is substantial and weighty, with a sturdy safety catch clasp.
The brooch shows some age-appropriate wear, such as faint crimps in the bezel and surface marks on the reverse, but it remains strong and secure. A striking piece for collectors of revival jewelry or early costume art metalwork.
