This is a beautiful vintage Whiting and Davis large envelope style mesh clutch bag. Dating is 1950s with its post war made in the USA blue tag, proceeding the 1940’s style wrist pouch but preceding the 1960s art deco style bags with kiss clasp style closure.
The mesh on this bag is in good condition considering its age. There are no missing or loose pieces. The clasp is strong and closes correctly and securely. Bags clasp is missing its center rhinestone. The interior silk lining is not in perfect condition, but it is in good condition, has no rips or tears and is free from any large noticeable stains.
