This is a nice example of the Hamilton Secometer, which was one of the first models introduced after WWII. It uses the same movement that was used in Hamilton's military watches, the 987S, featuring a sweep second hand and hacking mechanism.

The 18k applied gold numeral dial has developed a patina over the years, but is still in nice condition. The 10k gold filled case is in very good shape for its age with just minor scratches and a pin-point dent on the back. It measures 29 mm across and 36 lug to lug, so it's on the smaller side, even by vintage standards.

The 987S is a 17 jewel, mechanical movement and this one is running well and keeping accurate time. Its serial number dates it to 1946.

Comes on a vintage leather band, but please note that it will have to be switched out sooner than later. The leather has dried and is cracking around the adjustment holes, as you can see in the last pic. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading!
