Designed to achieve a rate of cooling very close to -1℃(-33.8℉)/minute, the optimal rate for cell preservation. Prior to inserting vials, the jar should be filled with 250ml of 100% isopropyl alcohol. Once the samples' been inserted, the jar should be placed in a -80℃(-176℉) mechanical freezer.
