Starbucks Been There – Acapulco is a mug for the resort city on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. The full name of the city is Acapulco de Juárez and it was well known as a port since the early colonial period of Mexico’s history all thanks to the location and deep bay. To add more to that, the port was the final destination for the Manila Galleons – Spanish trading ships making round-trip voyages between the ports of Acapulco and Manila (both being a part of New Spain).
The front of the mug showcases the skyline of the city. We can also see the blazing sun hanging low above the ocean. I bet the Acapulco beach is a nice spot to see the sunsets. Other elements of the design refer to the beach and water activities of the city such as boat rentals, boat tours, horseback riding, scuba diving, and other aquatic sports.
