Deca and Donu are characters that appear as bosses in Level 3 (Beyond). They are formidable enemies with increasing strength with each turn and a high amount of HP that is difficult to deplete with insufficient firepower, but their design and squishy movements have a strange charm.
There is a special achievement that can be obtained by defeating Donu with "Devour," and the illustrations set for the Steam trading cards are unusually cute, so the developers may recognize them as mascot-like characters.
