Here is an absolutely stunning vintage gold wash over sterling silver sterling flower brooch with hand carved Jadeite flower. This rare piece measures 4 inches long and has a light gold matte finish over sterling. The “flower” is exquisitely carved genuine jade that is prong set. The Jadeite piece itself measures
1 5/8” x 1 1/4”. (Coin used for comparison). It has a mid century modern flare with its angular bow with a domed center, a long swirl accent and gently curved leaves with a smooth matte finish. It has a hallmark that I can’t read next to “sterling” and weighs 25.64 grams. I have not come across another piece like this in my collecting and it is one of those special pieces to be worn and cherished!
