This is an incredible Royal Doulton "Taking Things Easy" vintage sculpture figurine. It was first introduced in 1975 and retired in 1987. The item number is HN 2677. It was designed by Mary Nicoll. This piece is about a man who is sitting on his comfy wicker rattan chair who was reading a newspaper and has fallen asleep. His face looks as if he's an older gentleman and has his eyes closed. He has black curly hair and is wearing a suit with a blue smoke jacket and an orange flower on the lapel, white pants and shoes. He's also wearing a grey faux fur fedora with some white. It looks as if he's taking it easy relaxing on a Sunday morning. He has his reading glasses and the newspaper on his lap. Nothing is so relaxing than reading the newspaper on a Sunday morning. The figurine is high glazed and it's 6.75" tall. The Royal Doulton is displayed at the bottom with the items number. There's no chips or cracks on it. No original box or paperwork. Original retail price is $275.00
