Oriental round carved mahogany frame with decorative bird glass inset; bird is made with feathers & embroidery on silk and sanwiched between two glass panes. Rotating cennter panel is 14 1/2" in diameter, outer carved mahogany frame is approx. 18" in diameter. Origin is unknown.
The center panel rotates freely, if permitted. In this center piece is a white Lyrebird and several flowers wiih bamboo) all embroidered in fine silk. Awe inspiring! How did they achieve such depth and variety?
