• READ: When I purchased this paperweight it had a brushed brass finish but had some bad spots in the finish. My husband polished it, and when he did, the gold finish disappeared and turned a silver color. I thought it was brass, but now I am not sure. A magnet will not stick to solid brass, and a magnet does not stick to this piece.
