A large vintage Japanese musical jewelry box. It features beautiful symbolic Japanese scripture, a secret drawer, and a rare revolving Geisha girl. Unlike most other vintage Japanese boxes, it features a simple yet stylish gold-colored decoration as opposed to the multi-colored landscape scenes. It dates to the 1950s and is in good vintage condition, with some imperfections and losses, including to lacquer and the feet (stands sturdy), as shown at pictures.

The drawers and base of the compartment have lovely red Jacquard type fabric linings.
