Beautiful mint condition footed bright green bowl in the “Moon and Star” pattern. Features a stunning opalescent ruffled rim.
In 1962, the L. E. Smith Glass Company officially contracted with Joseph Weishar of the Island Mould & Machine Company of Wheeling, WVA, to produce some new pieces of "Moon and Star". This mint green colored piece was one of them.
The opalescent pattern (in various colors) was popular for decades, fueling a craze from the 1960s into the 1980s
In excellent preowned vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Great addition to your Moon and Star or vintage green glass collection.
Has a mild reaction to UV exposure but not enough to say it’s uranium glass.
