Twelve small original sketches/drawings by listed artist Guido "Wedo" Georgetti. One is signed "W Georgetti", one is signed with the initials "WG". The one in the center is shrink wrapped and depicts a view in a submarine. Please view all photos to determine condition for yourself. The first dock scene measures 4" x 6.5" and is on the back of a President Garfield Luncheon menu dated 1938. The man on his back reading the paper measures 5" x 6.5". The smallest is the lady reading a book 3.25" x 3.5".
Guido "Wedo" Georgetti (May 1911 – Dec 2005) was an American painter, etcher, lithographer and sculptor. He was born in Marche, Italy, and came to the United States in 1913 when he turned two. Wedo Georgetti spent many years traveling as a merchant seaman before he gained significant recognition as an artist. He also studied art in New York City.
