Overview: Up for sale is an incredible landscape oil painting by listed Haitian artist, Emmanuel Dostaly (1945-). Dostaly is a well-listed self-taught artist who is well-known for his authentic Haitian scenes. This is not different, depicting an incredible elevated view of a Haitian valley. I love how the mountains in the distance fade into the horizon. Signed "Emm. Dostaly" and dated '80 at lower right. Framed in a simple oak wood frame.
Condition: Painting shows quite a bit of wear and paint loss, particularly upper right and along left side. Appears to be a nail puncture near top of painting. Frame is in good condition.
Measurements: Painting measures approximately 23 inches wide x 19 inches high. Frame measures approximately 26 inches wide x 22 inches high.
