c1973 ROK (Republic of Korea) 7928th MND (Ministry of National Defense) Unit “To Commemorate Your Visit" Celadon Tea Cup & Saucer Set.
This tea cup and saucer features the logo for the Ministry of National Defense in Korea, as well as Korean military flags and cranes flying around both the saucer and teacup. There is the same writing on the back of both pieces.
This gift set was given to my father who worked with the Korean military as a US Government advisor from 1971-1973. We lived on the US military base in Seoul, Korea, as a family at the time. My recollection is that my father received the Tea Set as we were leaving Korea in 1973 or on a special trip back to Korea later in the 1970's.
This item was cherished by my father and he kept it in pristine condition. My father passed away in 2019, and I have chosen to share this special piece of military memorabilia with a collector who will appreciate it!
The saucer measures approx 4 1/8 inches square. The cup measures 3" diameter.
