A beautiful 3-piece Edwardian dressing table set comprising a hand mirror and two trinket boxes. The set is made with faux tortoiseshell panels and sterling silver mounts with fine engraved decoration. Wood bases to the boxes. Hallmarked Birmingham, 1918, E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley). Dimensions: Hand mirror: 29cm x 13.2cm Large trinket box: 18cm x 11cm Small trinket box: 7.5cm x 5.3cm Condition: General surface scratches and some light wear consistent with age. Small spot of foxing to the mirror. Chip to reverse of mirror glass. Two horizontal cracks in the faux tortoiseshell panel at the top of the handle.
