80’s Clear Handblown Mexican Crackle Art Apple Glass w/ Gold Color Stem/Leaf

One of a kind, small, handblown, crackled, cleared apple shape Mexican art glass that was hand made with traditional techniques. To create this look, the glass blower/artist created a balloon-shaped red-hot ball of glass and briefly plunged this creation into cold water after blowing into an apple shape. The tiny cracks appearing on the surface are caused by the temperature shock. The Crackled-Glass is then reheated to close the tiny cracks. Gold color stem and gilt leaf for the finish design. Traditional ponytail on the e bottom. Sold as pre-owned but in excellent conditions. No damage found.
