Offered for sale is this circa 1897 non-working men's pocket watch by Elgin, for parts or repair. It is 2 1/8 inches in diameter without the bow and stem, 3/4 inch thick and heavy. The screw on/off case is silverode and has some marks. The crystal is thick and has some marks. The dial has numerous chips and some hairlines, but is OK. Other facts: movement serial # is: 6947583; size 18s; 7 jewels; stem set and stem wound. It is wound tight; the balance wheel does move freely. All vintage and antique pocket watches should be serviced every 3 to 5 years. We do not know when this pocket watch was last serviced.
