This bobblehead commemorates the day Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig’s 56 yr standing record of 2,130 straight games. On September 6, 1996 Cal Ripken broke that record with game number 2,131 games played as shortstop without rest. He continued that streak through July 15, 1996 after playing 2,216 straight games. The bobblehead includes the original with Cal Ripken’s stats. The bobblehead appears to be resin. It is in good used condition with minimal signs of wear and a couple manufacturing flaws.
