Product Description:
This is a special military map compass by SUUNTO, delivered to the British Army in 2003 upon request from the UK Ministry of Defense. It was supplied to army soldiers deployed to the Iraq War in 2003 and released by the British Army in 2012 as surplus goods. This is a rare item that is hardly seen in Japan. Due to aging, the body has yellowed and the oil has turned blue. The compass function is generally functional under proper conditions, depending on the usage environment. However, since it is a very old item, we strongly advise against using it in dangerous situations such as mountaineering where risk of accidents is involved. Please consider purchasing it as a collection of gear that the British army used in actual combat. There is a radioactive mark on the left side of the place where tritium is used in this map compass. Tritium vial technology does not require luminescence and has a lifespan of about 15 years, but the item being listed for sale has been manufactured for over 20 years, so its lifespan has already expired, and it poses no harm to the human body. As it has been actually used by the military for several years, there are many scratches overall.
